The sign on this building says Triple T Saddlery. The T stood for my grandparents’ last name, Teskey. And they had 3 kids. Get it? ;) This was one of their saddle stores in Dallas. According to my grandmother, it was located in “North Dallas” at Forest and Preston in the old Sears building across from the old 7-11. They owned and operated 2 stores in the Dallas area, plus a distribution warehouse in Huntington Beach, CA. This was while my grandfather was flying full time for Braniff. My uncles helped run the business, and my mom and her high school friends handled the advertising. Today, the saddle business continues with my cousins who own and operate their own stores in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. Robert Teskey Saddlery in Pilot Point, and Teskey's in Weatherford. So, if you need to stock up on saddles, tack, boots, apparel, ranch supplies, and the list goes on, they can hook you up!
